BioGraffs for Teens & Young Adults

Teens and young adults often have a lot going on inside — but not always the words to express it.


BioGraffs offers a hands-on, visual way for young people to explore thoughts, feelings, and experiences without pressure to explain everything out loud. This unique method helps people understand and articulate their preferences, and build healthier relationships—with others and themselves.

​

It's a powerful visual storytelling method that helps young people explore and express their personal experiences, values, and preferences around relationships, sex, consent, family issues, mental health, and hopes for the future. Using simple colored cubes as a stand-in for feelings and actions, BioGraffs gives youth a playful way to “see” their own internal scripts, making space for curiosity and clarity. A powerful method in both one-on-one sessions or group settings, educators and counselors can use this tool to foster open, honest conversations about what lived experience and what truly matters.​

Workshops & Group Events

BioGraffs can be used in facilitated workshops, classrooms, retreats, and community events for teens and young adults. Sessions are structured, contained, and designed to create psychological safety in group settings.

Workshops typically include:

​

  • A clear prompt appropriate to the age group

  • Quiet time to build a BioGraff individually

  • Optional sharing and guided discussion

  • Emphasis on listening, curiosity, and respect

  • ​

Participants leave with greater self-awareness — and often a surprising sense of relief at being understood.

🟦 The Base Workshop Package includes materials for 6 participants.

 

Each of your participants will have:

  • 1 dry-erase whiteboard canvas and pen

  • 150 vibrant wooden cubes for hands-on storytelling

  • A handout of sample BioGraffs images to inspire and guide participants

  • 6 storyboard prompt cards that help people understand the different BioGraff forms (timeline, comparisons, mosaic, etc.)

  • All materials come packaged in a colorful zippered envelope, one for each of your participants

  • A downloadable PDF workshop guide to help you plan, lead, and adapt the exercise to your group

  • A 15-minute explainer video, where I walk you through the Core Activity. You can show it to your group directly or watch it yourself to learn how to teach it in person.

  • A 1-hour live consultation with me (Zoom or phone) to answer your questions, brainstorm applications, and tailor the experience to your audience.
